Obituary for David Allan Poe
David Allen Poe, age 58, of Silver Lake, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at his residence.
David was born September 28, 1955 in Charleston, West Virginia. He was a 1973 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School where he enjoyed and played Soccer. He was a graduate of Kent State University where he majored in Political Science. He had a passion for politics. Before he returned to Ohio, He was a Ski instructor in Colorado and loved to Ski.
David was a member of Holy Family Parish and enjoyed being a lector there.
He is preceded in death by his father Virgil Poe.
David is survived by his mother Rosalie Poe, his brothers, Brad (Martha) Poe, and Robert Poe; nieces and nephews, Dominic (Laura), Mary, and Teresa.
Friends may call 5-8PM Friday at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 3333 Kent Rd (at Rt. 91) in Stow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30AM Saturday at Holy Family Church, 3179 Kent Rd. in Stow, Procession to form at the church. Interment Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Catholic Charities Community Services of Summit County, 812 Biruta St. Akron, Ohio 44307
