Dennis “Denny” J. Walker, age 88, of Tallmadge, formerly of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away Sunday at Pebble Creek Nursing home.

He was born April 9, 1926 in Akron to the late John and Hazel (Greenwalt) Walker. Denny was an acoustical ceiling engineer for the Akron Floors Company for 25 years, and a 26 year member of the Carpenters Union Local # 639; Dennis was a proud owner of a 1960 Buick Electra 225 that he cherished.

Denny was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and Past Commander of the Army Navy Garrison Copley Post #409

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Frances A. (Nichols) Walker.

He is survived by his children, Janet (Steve) Hamas, John (Brenda) Walker, Carla (Tim Cassidy) Walker, Lynda (Mike) Madden, and Nancy (Lynn) Means; 10 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren; sisters, Hazel (and special brother-in-law Lud) Ward, Katie Lepley, and Leila Carlson.

Friends may call Wednesday 6:30 to 8:30pm at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 3333 Kent Rd (at Rt. 91) in Stow where the funeral service will commence after calling hours. Interment will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 10am Thursday, procession forming at the funeral home.
