"Bea"  Schulmeister (Thayer)
Bea Schulmeister, 85, passed away on September 12. Born in Morgantown, W.Va. Bea had lived most of her life in the Akron area. She was an active member of Blessed Trinity Parish (formerly St. Martha’s) serving as a Eucharistic Minister and volunteering for the Funeral Meal Ministry. She was also Past Chairperson of Helping Hands.

Preceeded in death by her parents,Cecil and Goldie Thayer; brother, Frank Thayer; daughter, Patricia Floyd; and granddaughter, Tiffany Schulmeister; and husband, Frank Schulmeister, she is survived by daughters, Alicemarie (Ray) Jones, Frances (Anthony) Lopane, and Susan (Tom) Dolson; son, Frank Schulmeister; 36 grandchildren; sister, Gloria Dibert; and brother, Arnie Thayer.

Calling hours will be on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St.). Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church (300 E. Tallmadge Ave.) followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

The family would like to acknowledge Dr. Kenneth Berkovitz, Earl McFarland, the staff of Palliative Care and Hospice of Summa as well as the staff at The Briarwood for their kindness and professional care.
