Obituary for Andrew C. Ramos, DDS

Andy Ramos, age 68, passed away Friday morning at his home.

He graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a degree in biology in 1968; he earned his DDS in 1973 also from Case Western Reserve University Upon completing dental school, he entered and served two years in the US Navy. After marrying Joyce A. Churchwell, they had three wonderful and devoted sons, Timothy, David, and Andrew, Jr. He and Joyce were happily married for 43 years. Three years ago, Andy fell ill to diabetes and kidney failure and he has tried in vain to overcome all obstacles. He was thought of as a classy, smart and kind man who was known as a golfer, fisherman, and a man that could give guided tours around Walt Disney World with his eyes closed. Very few will be missed more.

He is also survived by sister, Karen (Donald) Dodig, and brother, James "Jim" Ramos, brother-in-law Jim (Joyce) Churchwell; sister-in-law, Jane (Dan) Groh; and eight nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Stow Chapel (3333 Kent Rd. at Rt. 91). Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church.

INTERMENT WITH MILITARY HONORS WILL TAKE PLACE ON WEDNESDAY, DEC. 24 AT 11:00 A.M. AT
OHIO WESTERN RESERVE NATIONAL CEMETERY IN RITTMAN.
