Alfred Homer Hazelett, 79, of Stow, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015

Homer was born in Akron to the late Auda and Mary Hazelett. He was a Collision Technician for many years, He later retired after several years as a commercial truck driver.

Homer had many things in his life that he enjoyed; he loved his backyard, especially watching the birds and squirrels; he loved to fish, but mostly he loved and enjoyed his grandkids.

Besides his parents, Homer is preceded in death by a son Alan.

He is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, the former Martha Kovacich, his daughters Brenda (Randy) Hook and Theresa (Joe) Karpinski; his sons, Dan and Ed Hazelett; daughter-in-law Patty Hazelett; seven grandchildren, Shawn, Megan, Delesa, Danny, Alan, Brandon, and Kelly. Five great grandchildren. two sisters Betty (Bill) Huffman and Wanda Fitzhugh; a brother Bennie Hazelett. And faithful K-9 companion Titan.

Friends may call 5-8PM Thursday at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 3333 Kent Rd (at Rt. 91) in Stow, where the funeral services will be 10:30AM Friday. Fr. Kevin Elbert officiant. Burial Hillside Memorial Gardens.
