Obituary for William T. "Bill" Mehen

William T. "Bill"  Mehen
Bill Mehen, age 65, of Port Orange, Florida, formerly of Akron, passed away May 20, 2015 at his residence.

Bill was a welder at S.D. Myers for many years. He was a proud member of American Legion Wendell Wilke Post 19. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army where he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, an Army Commendation medal, and two O/S Bars.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Edith Mehen, a sister, Loretta “Kitty” Ludwig, and brothers, James II and Mark.

Bill is survived by his beloved son, Patrick S. Mehen; sisters, Karen Glinsek (Greg Davis),Rebecca Lecky (Edward Hatala), and Patricia Oddo; brother-in-law Leonard Ludwig and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

Burial with Military Honors will be 10:30AM Friday, June 12th at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday June 13th, 1-3PM at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 811 Grant St. in Akron, and a celebration of life will be Sunday, June 14th 1-5PM at The Hibernian Club at 2000 Brown St. in Akron.
