Obituary for Patricia "Pat" Crookston (Thomas)

Patricia Ann Crookston, 85, of Stow passed away peacefully at home on
Nov. 19.
Pat lived in Akron most of her life, though she briefly and proudly
resided in Fancy Farm, Kentucky as a child. Mrs. Crookston was a 1949
graduate of St. Mary's High School and a 50 year member of Holy
Family Parish.
Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Dee Thomas; father,
James Willard Thomas; brothers Bud Thomas and Bill Thomas; and
great grandson Teddy Bovard.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jim; sisters, Ruth (Ernie)
Knaus and Elaine (Patrick) Donahue; daughters, Cinny (Doug) Lane,
Peg (Bob) Bovard, Linda (John) Livigni, and Kathy(Rick) Rodgers; sons,
Matt (Kathy), Jim (Kelley), and Tom (Melanie); 19 grandchildren; 21
great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and
nephews.
Devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend, Pat especially
loved family gatherings, spending time with her many friends and
volunteering at various local organizations including the Stow Women's
Club and the Women's Auxiliary Board of Summit County Children
Services.
The family would like to thank Summa Hospice and Visiting Angels,
especially Camille Eaton and Glenda Webster. In lieu of flowers, the
family requests that donations be made to The Women’s Auxiliary Board
of Summit County Children Services, or Holy Family Parish.
Family and friends will gather from 9 until 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Family
Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at
11:00 a.m. Inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery will follow.
