He was a long-time active member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Homer was preceded in death by his wife, Pat; infant daughter, Theresa; and brother-in-law, Ivor Peters. He is survived by his children, Barry (Diane), Gary (Harriet), Patrick (Karen), Monica (Frank) Smolinski, Laurie (Steve) Diese and Julie (Jerry) Rudowsky; sister, Marilyn Peters, brother, John (Irene); grandchildren, Thomas (Danielle) and Lara Stocker, Benjamin, Caroline and Nathaniel Stocker, Thea (Craig), Julieanne (A.J.), Luke (Allison), Jacob and Hannah Smolinski, Leanne, Andrea and Kerianne Diese, Emma and Anna Rudowsky; great grandchildren, Gabriella, Judah, Luca, Stella, Ruby and Ozzy; numerous nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, Stow Chapel (3333 Kent Road). Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Stow.
