James C. Epling, age 88, of Akron, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014 in Brooksville, Florida.

Jim was born June 5, 1926 in Spencer, West Virginia to the late Eugene and Mae (Stein) Epling. He was a Machinist at Kent Machine for many years. Jim was a very handy individual; he was a wood worker and enjoyed building furniture in his spare time.

He is survived by his wife, the former Edna Warner, his daughter, Carol Johnson Mitchell, and his sons, Jim (Diane) Epling, and Harold D. (Flo) McAbee; four grandchildren, Lalonie Johnson (Darien) White, Heather McAbee, Bobby Cumpston, Dennis McCulvey.

Friends may call 5-8 PM Thursday at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 811 Grant St. in Akron, Funeral service will be 11AM Friday at the Funeral Home. Entombment Hillside Memorial Park.
