Obituary for Betty Carol Walls (Cayton)

Betty Carol (Cayton) Walls was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world surrounded by her family on April 6, 2021 at age 79. She was born and raised in Doddridge County, West Virginia, and has resided in the Stow – Monroe Falls area for all of her married life. She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband Bernard Ronald Walls, son Ronald Aaron Walls, her parents and five siblings. She is survived by four children Rhonda Holmes (Jim), Donna Kalessa (Rodney), Nicole Ollila (Chris), and Bernard Shane Walls, five grandchildren, Brionna Johnson (Kory), Dylan Kalessa, Lyndsey Mitchell (Tim), Brady Kalessa, and Wyatt Walls, one great-grandchild Brennan Johnson, her best friend and sister Barbara Devericks, and cherished cousin Vickie Slapak.
Betty graduated from Doddridge County Highschool. While in Ohio helping her brother with his two young children, she met the love of her life, Bernard R. Walls. They were married on March 10, 1961, shared 56 years of marriage, and were blessed with five children. All her children were proud to call her Mom. Betty was an exceptional cook and family and friends delighted to gather around her table. She made it a family tradition to show your love through cooking. All were welcome at Betty’s house and she had a way of making everyone around her feel accepted and loved. She was baptized 60 years ago and has always been an active member in her church. Her life was a living example of her faith in God.

Please join us in celebrating Betty’s life. Calling hours are Saturday April 10th from 4:30 to 7:30 pm, the funeral service is Sunday April 11th at 11:00 am. Both are at Dunn-Quigley Stow Chapel, 3333 Kent Road, Stow OH 44224. The internment will be at Sandy Valley Cemetery in Waynesburg OH on Monday April 12th at 11am.
