Edmund T. Ransweiler, age 68, of Akron, joined our Good Lord and the Angels in Heaven, on December 4th, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones. Ted was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who always put his family first. Ted was an extremely hard worker and held two jobs for many years. He was an amazing and generous man and father. We are extremely proud to be his children. Ted was always there for the people that he loved. He worked tirelessly for his family with the City of Cleveland communications, B&C Communications, Subway, and the City of Akron to make sure his family was taken care of. Ted enjoyed going to baseball games, watching Browns football and the Cleveland Indians. He also enjoyed his motorcycle from years ago and hanging out with family and friends. Ted is survived by his wife, Peggy; and his children, Chad (Julie) Ransweiler, Geoff Ransweiler, Kevin Ransweiler, Rebecca Ransweiler, Laurie (John) Dain, and Elizabeth (Paul) Roebuck; and grandchildren; Haylie, Tyeler, Rylee and Lacy, siblings Robert (Patricia) Ransweiler, Sister Janet Hamlin- Dec. (Ray), Joe Ransweiler (dec.) Rose Ransweiler, Maryann (Don) Binford. Numerous nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be on Sunday, Dec. 9th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St. Akron, OH 44311). The entire Ransweiler family would like to say thank you to Akron City Hospital ICU and Palliative care nurse team that took amazing care of him and kept him comfortable and anxiety free while he was there.
