Obituary for Edward David "Eddie" Quinn

Edward (Eddie) David Quinn, 62, passed away on June 22, 2018. Born in Lansdowne, Pa., Eddie lived most of his life in the Akron area. He was talented and gifted with a strong work ethic. Eddie was mechanically inclined and used these skills throughout his life. As a youth, he built cars and raced them in the Soap Box Derby. He became a licensed tool & die journeyman, and used those skills working for and eventually retiring from Goodyear.
Most recently, he moved to Georgia and worked for Panduit Corp, where he was highly respected and admired by his peers. He also had a love for planes and obtained his pilots licenses. Eddie had a passion for and enjoyed watching the Cavs and Indians play sports. He had a kind and generous heart and especially loved his daughters Angela and Lisa, and his grandchildren. He also had a big heart for his four-legged friend, Angel, but most of all, he loved Life and the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Joseph Quinn, and his brother, Christopher Bryan Quinn. He is survived by his mother, Rose Etta Quinn; daughters, Angela Quinn and LisaQuinn; grandchildren, Isaiah, Alayah and Ava; siblings; Larry & (Rosemary) Hayes, Joseph & Robin Quinn; Robert & Mary Quinn; Steven & (Bernadette) Leonard; William & (Jacqueline) Kennedy; Kevin & Karen Quinn; Adam & (Jennifer) Vanderbunt; Wylie & (Monica) Newton; many, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will be gathering on Thursday, July 12 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Dunn-Quigley Stow Chapel, (3333 Kent Rd. at Rt. 91), where a memorial service will take place at 1:00pm.
Inurnment at East Nimishillen Cemetery will immediately follow.
