Evelyn May Jones, 97, passed away on Nov. 5. 2018. Born in Akron to the late Thomas and Ethel Jones, she has been a life-long Akron resident. Evelyn was retired from Hardware and Supply where she worked as a secretary for over 40 years. She was a member of Riverside Christian Missionary Alliance.
Her survivors include sisters, Jeannette R. Jones, and Harriet E. Mangham; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
The family would like to acknowledge Evelyn's good friend, Jacky Petrey, for all of her loving help especially in these last few months.
Calling hours will be on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St.) where funeral services will take place at 1:00. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park will follow.
