Kathy and Family, Judy, and Benny and Family: I'm so sorry to hear that your loving mother has passed away. Growing up with all of you, I felt like Nettie was almost a second mother, and she always impressed me because she could drive!!! Not a lot of women did that "back in the day"! I always had such fun with all of you--canasta on the back porch, going outside first thing on summer mornings in our jammies while the mothers talked, the winter slide and staying up really late playing on it, and staying all night with you downtown and going to see the Derby boys arrive! Just a few of the memories I hold dear to my heart...I'm sure the neighborhood welcomed Nettie through the gates with open arms! I pray your memories will offer you comfort during your time of grief. Love to you all.
