Loren Jared Lyons, 52 was born July 28, 1969 in Akron, OH and passed away November 29, 2021 at his home in Alexandria, VA. He graduated from East High School and Akron University. Loren was the youngest of 3 brothers. The most up to date fashions were important to him. He knew he had to go out to work at an early age if he wanted them. Starting as a paperboy for the Akron Beacon Journal while at Goodyear Jr. High, he progressed on to McDonald's while at East High School until graduation in 1987. He left for a year of adventure in Florida, working at Disneyworld, until returning home in 1988 to go to Akron University. While there, he began working for the local Kirby Sweeper dealer until graduation. Now he was ready for a real job and that was with Progressive Ins. Co. at the home office in Mayfield Village. In November 1998, an opportunity of a position at a claims office in Alexandria VA came his way. He jumped at the chance to leave Akron. After a few years of office work, he thought that he would like to be quiet and alone during the work day. He became a UPS driver and gave up wearing fashionable clothes for UPS brown. Little did he know you are not quiet and alone in that job. After 14 years with UPS he left on disability. Loren had enthusiasm and energy for dance, landscape work and travel. When visiting him in Alexandria, you could depend on a tour of both sides of the Potomac from early in the morning until evening. His last wish was to return to Ohio and settle at Leesville Lake, Carroll Co. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to whatever charity reminds you of him. To celebrate your memories of Loren, turn on your music, dance, drink a beer, laugh and have a good time. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold & Loretta Snover, Joseph & Evelyn Lyons, brother, Lance and father, Joseph Lyons. He is survived his mother Shirley (Jim) Oziomek, brother Lee of Fitchburg, MA, aunts, uncles and cousins. Loren's final resting place will be Greensburg Cemetery with his grandparents and brother, Lance.
