Obituary for Mark Alan Beane

Mark Alan Beane, 60, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning. He was born on July 18th, 1962 to Ernie H. and Suzanne (Brenn) Beane in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from Garfield High School in 1980. After high school, he attended the University of Akron where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. After graduating, he briefly worked for both the Mogadore and Norton Police Departments before becoming a Summit County Sheriff’s Deputy. He married his late wife, Rebecca (Kisela) Beane on September 15th, 1991. Mark and Rebecca would go on to have a son, Mark Joseph Beane, who was born on November 20th, 1993. Mark retired after a 21 year career in the Summit County Jail. Post-retirement, Mark would take care of his wife Rebecca and his son Mark Joseph. Mark enjoyed various hobbies that included recreational shooting, rucking, reading, and volunteering for both his church and local historical preservation societies.

Mark is survived by his mother, Suzanne Newcomb, son, Mark Joseph Beane (Elizabeth Falconer Beane), granddaughter, Grace Beane, brother, Mike Beane, brothers and sister in-law, Joseph G. Kisela Jr., Cheri Kisela Freeman, and David Kisela (Stephanie O’Donnell Kisela) along with many nieces and nephews Michael and Alivia Beane, Eric Kisela (Tina Tritt Kisela and son Benjamin), Brad Kisela (Kristen McGrogan Kisela), Ken Kisela, Will Kisela, Jason Freeman, Kelsey Kisela, and Chloe Kisela. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernie H. Beane, step-father, Bill Newcomb, father-in-law, Joseph G. Kisela Sr., mother-in-law, Agnes Kisela, wife, Rebecca Kisela Beane, and niece, Emily Rose Kisela. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Lupus Foundation of America in honor of Mark and Rebecca Beane.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, September 30 at 2:00pm at All Saints Cemetery (480 West Highland Road, Northfield, Ohio 44067).
