Melissa Ann Dowdy, 38, of Canton passed away unexpectedly on August 21, 2018. Born in Akron the daughter of Vernon and Mary Dowdy, Melissa has been an area resident all her life.
Preceded in death by her mother, Mary, she leaves to mourn her passing loving daughter, Alexis Brown; father, Vernon Dowdy; siblings, Yvonne Bruskschlogl, Larry Scott, Stacy (Mike) Pavlov, Lori Scott, John Scott, Sheri (Ricky) Dowdy, Tonya Dowdy, and Vernon Dowdy; step-father, Larry Scott; nieces and nephews, Danielle, Shay, Kimmie, Mikey, Ryan; great-nephews, Mat and Kayden; numerous other nieces, nephews and friends.
