Patricia Jean  Dye (Deshon)
Patricia Jean Dye of Akron passed away peacefully on February 16, 2018 at the age of 90.

Patricia was born in Akron on March 17, 1927. She graduated from St. Mary's High School and attended The University of Akron. She was a member of the UA chapter of Theta Phi Alpha sorority and a beloved member of the St. Mary’s 'Mothers' Club for seventy years. She was also a member of the Blossom Hill Gang, a group of friends.

In 1946, she wed her soul mate Clyde Victor Dye. They were married for 70 years. They loved being together, Portage Lakes, and traveling to Maine. He loved her chocolate pie. 

Patricia's family and deep faith were her passion and the loves of her life. She was a loving mother and devoted friend who was always happy, kind, and selfless. She had a sly sense of humor and wasn't afraid to tell it like it is! She loved looking at old family photos, milkshakes, and burnt cookies.

Patricia is survived by her brother William Deshon and her children: Thomas(Mary), Philip(Susan), Susan, Mary(Jack), Janet(John), Judith(Mike), Cathy(Jerry). She was a proud grandmother to 27 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. 

Patricia is preceded in death by her husband Clyde, son William(Bill), and parents Louise and Carl Deshon. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St.Mary's Church in Akron at 10am on February 21. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral mass at 8:45 at Dunn-Quigley ( 811 Grant St.) Burial will immediately follow the mass at Holy Cross cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Mary’s Church in Akron or Regina Health Center in Richfield.
