Obituary for Robert J. Yankovich

Robert J. Yankovich
Robert J. Yankovich, 75, of Wadsworth, passed away June 4, 2018.

Robert (Bob) Yankovich was born in Akron, Ohio to John and Mary Yankovich on October 8, 1942. He married Janice Vesalo on April 18, 1964. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the United States Coast Guard. Bob worked at B.F. Goodrich and Volvo White Truck and was a small business owner.

He formed a great team with Janice - raising three boys in Wadsworth, caring for each other, and sharing their love of family, travel, gardening, nature, and their dogs. Bob was a devoted fan of his sons and grandchildren. He reveled in being with them and enjoying their pursuits.

Bob is survived by Janice, his wife of 54 years; his son Robert and grandchildren, Maggie and Ethan of Atlanta; his son, Michael, daughter-in-law Jennifer Nevins and granddaughter Holly of Arvada, CO; daughter-in-law Sheryl Yankovich of Kent; and his beloved dog, Molly of Wadsworth. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul, and his daughter-in-law, Gail Goldsmith.

A quick wit and a great friend, Bob was loved by many and will be missed by all.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Cleveland Clinic and Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center.

A private memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Medina County SPCA or to the Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus.
