Obituary for Robert Joseph "Bob" Drexler

Robert Joseph "Bob" Drexler
Robert J. Drexler, 86, passed away on May 17, 2017 while residing in Columbus. A life-long resident of Akron, he was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and Kent State University before acquiring his Law Degree from the University of Akron School of Law. Mr. Drexler was a successful trial lawyer practicing in Akron for almost 30 years. During the Korean Conflict he served honorably in the U.S. Army. While managing a busy law practice Bob nevertheless always put family first. He was a selfless man who provided for his family's every need. Bob's greatest pleasure was to be home with those he loved. Mostly, we are forever grateful for his unconditional love.

He will be sadly missed by his children, Robert, Jr. (Rob Beckon), Jean Drexler (John Golgolab), Kathleen Klingler (Jeff); grandchildren, Elaine, Joseph, Claire, Jacob, and Jack; siblings, Irene Davis, William Drexler, and Rita Bauman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia (Lack); parents, Raymond and Agnes; siblings, Ray and Paul.

Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St.). Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church followed by entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
