Mentor

In the year 1976 I graduated from Tallmadge High School and mentioned in my yearbook entry that I wanted to be a legal secretary. Bob, Bruce Sanderson and William H. Knowlton offered me that opportunity two weeks after graduation. Not having any legal experience, he proceeded to tell me to forge forward and see what I could do. Within a week I was drafting Answers to complaints, promulgating Interrogatories and other pleadings. Not once did he say I did anything wrong, and looked forward to the next step I could take in my legal career. He was an honest, kind-hearted man; I will never forget his sense of humor or habit for tobacco!

Rest in peace, dearest friend and mentor!
