Robert J. Ross, after a brief illness, passed away on September 29, 2022. He was born in Akron on November 29,1957.
Bobby served in the army after high school, and particularly enjoyed his time in Alaska. He went on to be a sword fisherman on an international fishing boat. During his long trips at sea, he never forgot his Mother. He surprised her with a ship to shore call from the middle of the Pacific Ocean one Mother’s Day. He finished his career in refrigeration.
Bobby loved to garden and made the best salsa in town. He loved his family and was known for his kindness and generous heart. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father James L. Ross. He is survived by his mother Anne Esler, step-father Max Esler, who he fondly called Pops, brothers Richard, Ronald (Diana), William, and sister Victoria Romo. Other family members include his former wife Cindy Ross, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and Quiana and Corey who always held a special place in his heart.
Per the deceased’s wishes cremation has taken place. A private memorial will take place at a later date.
