Obituary

Thomas William Collins, Sr., 76, of Akron passed away on Dec. 23. Born in Akron, the son of the late Martin and Marguerite Collins, Tom was a lifetime area resident. He was retired from General Tire. He also served in the U.S. Army.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Martin and Michael. His survivors include sons, Thomas, Jr. (Maria), Brian (Sue), and Timothy; sister, Mary (Dave) Stevens; and brothers, Jerry (Judy), and Bill (Nancy); grandchildren, Thomas III, Brittney, Victoria, Samantha, and Armani; sister-in-law, Barb Collins; nephews, Michael C. (Micah), and Nikolas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 2 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (83 Mosser Place, Akron 44310) followed by inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

I remember Tom and his brother Mike from years ago, 50's. They were part of a group I ran with, all good and decent guys. I have wondered about everyone from time to time. He is now at his final home, God bless you Tom and your loved ones. May the peace of Jesus be with you all.

I cant imagine our lives without Thomas. We shared every holiday, special event, and so much more. Thomas was a rock fire our family, and I know my sons, grandchildren and myself will miss him always. RIP my dear friend
