Obituary for Thomas Carl Graham

Thomas Carl Graham
An amazing father and grandfather, Thomas Carl Graham, 90, passed away June 10, 2018 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was born on January 2, 1928 to Helen and Homer Graham of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

A veteran of WWII, he was chosen to serve at Vint Hill Farms Station near Washington D.C., where he analyzed intelligence from around the world. A clandestine Army base, Vint Hill Farms was one of the United States’ most important intelligence gathering stations during the war and played a pivotal role in intercepting and deciphering enemy communications.

Tom graduated from Ohio State University and worked for Goodyear Aerospace Corporation in Akron, Ohio for 37 years. He was a Manager of Sales administration in the Defense Systems Division.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Nan Miller Graham, and his brother, Bill Graham of Kent, Ohio. He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Laura Hoskins of Avon, Indiana; daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Bob Stites of Colleyville, Texas and his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Roe Graham and Kristi Bergren of Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Tom is also survived by his grandchildren, Graham Stites of Dallas, Shelley Stites of Chicago and Melanie Graham of Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

We would especially like to thank the wonderful, caring staff of New Hope Hospice and Brookdale Oak Hollow Memory-Care. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or New Hope Hospice.
