Obituary for Thomas T. Milan
Thomas T. Milan, President of Avtek International and life-long resident of Silver Lake, OH, passed away unexpectedly on June 27, 2022 at the age of 67.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Heiner); daughters, Kathleen (Ryan) Fink, Jeana (Tyler) Lewis and son, David; grandchildren, Mason and Madelyn Fink; sister, Christine Jordan; brother, Gary (Judy) Milan; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patricia and James Zucco; nephews and nieces, Matthew Milan and Melissa Hansen, Adam and Alex Zucco, Tina Foulkes, Lisa Pozzi, and Thomas Heiner.
Thomas was born in Akron to Ernest A. Milan and Elinor R. Taylor. Thomas graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1973. On September 16, 1978, he married the love of his life, Barbara. He then went on to become the President of BIC America and later founded Avtek International in 1998.
Thomas had an unprecedented love for his family and friends. Throughout the years he enjoyed boating, riding his motorcycle, racing at the drag strip, and anything else that would move the wind through his hair. Thomas enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends while at home and vacationing in Bellaire, MI and Stuart, FL.
Calling hours will be held at Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 3333 Kent Rd., Stow, OH on Saturday, July 9th from 11am to 2pm with a memorial service starting at 2pm. A celebration of Thomas’ life will immediately follow at 3185 N. Dover Rd. Silver Lake, OH 44224.
The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association.
