Obituary for Eva J. Clarkston (Horvath)

Eva Clarkston, age 55, of Akron, passed away early Tuesday morning due to complications of ALS.

She was born December 29, 1958 in Akron to the late Edward and Betty Horvath. Eva was a 1975 graduate of Central Hower High School. She worked for over 20 years as a Child Nutrition Manager for Akron Public Schools. She was also a member of the Sons of Herman Ladies Auxiliary. Her life long love of sewing and dress making touched so many over the years, and gave her much joy to help others with her creations.

She will be forever missed by her husband of almost 39 years Rafe Clarkston, Jr.; her children, Jessica (Brian) Harkness, Jennifer (John) Redford, and Jacqulyn (Michael) Harkness. Loved by her grandchildren, Kelsey, Kendall, Kassidy, Kellen, Kerrigan, Kallahan, Klara, Mckenzie, Madison, Marissa, Elizabeth, and Izabelle. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.

Friends may call 5-8pm Friday at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 811 Grant St. in Akron; where the funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:30am with Pastor Jim Gergon officiant. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Park.
