Born in Geneva, Ohio on November 20, 1947 to the late Charles and Genevieve Woerner (nee Ebs), Dan had been a resident of Stow since 1988. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University and the University of Akron, and a member of Triangle Fraternity.

Dan was a classic car enthusiast. He participated in the majority of car cruises in the Akron area and surrounding Summit County. He also loved to watch Ohio State football and attended as many games as he could with his children. He will be forever missed and remembered by his wife and family.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diane Woerner; children, Sunnie Woerner and Adam Woener; grandson, Jackson Woerner; sisters, Kathleen Ferry, Susan Barr, and Patricia Harakal; their dog, Oscar; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. A special thanks goes out to the Royce family for their love and support.

The family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Stow Chapel (3333 Kent Rd. at Rt. 91). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Akron.
