Obituary for Mary Ann Hedderly (Nash)

Mary Ann  Hedderly (Nash)
Mary Ann (Nash) Hedderly, age 85, of Dayton, formerly of Stow and Kent, passed away Easter morning at the Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties.

Mary Ann was born November 4, 1929 in Stow to the late Frank and Ann (Weigand) Yeager. She was a graduate of the St. Thomas School of Nursing. As an RN, she worked at Kent State University, Sea World, Visiting Nurses of Kent, and St. Thomas Hospital. She was a member of Incarnation Church in Dayton, and a former member of Holy Family in Stow and St. Patrick's in Kent. Mary Ann was active and supportive of Catholic Charities and St. Patrick's School. She retired from Ohio PERS in 2004.

She will be remembered for her commitment to family and faith. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Arthur E. Nash, and brother Paul Yeager.

She will be forever missed by her husband, Russel L. Hedderly; her children, Arthur (Gail) Nash of Cincinnati, Robert (Amy) Nash of Seattle, Washington, Patrick (Amy) Nash of Richmond, Virginia, Susan McCormick of Columbus, Indiana, and William (Kathy) Nash of Boston; step-children, Russel L. (Tracy) Hedderly, Jr. of Columbus, Todd Hedderly of Stow, and Beth (John) Patera of Dayton; 22 grandchildren, Libby (Ben) Goldammer, Laura Nash, Ethan Nash, Tasia Nash, Logan Nash, Charlotte Nash, Betsy (Billy) Gibson, AJ Nash, Katy (David) Bush, Megan McCormick, Ben McCormick, Connor Nash, Owen Nash, Kyle Hedderly, Austin Hedderly, Madison Hedderly, Tyler Freese, Matthew Freese, Trey Hedderly, Olivia Hedderly, Emma Hedderly, and Jordan Patera; 5 great-grandchildren, Henry, Audrey, & Nolan Bush, Abby & Maddie Goldammer.

Friends may call Thursday 6-8PM at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 3333 Kent Rd. in Stow; a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM Friday at Holy Family Church, 3179 Kent Rd. in Stow, Interment at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent.
