My Dad was the most kind, generous and soft spoken man I have ever known, but the game of golf is his legacy. When I was 10 or so I remember playing golf with dad, even when it got colder, I loved just being outdoors and spending time with him. We soon joined one of my childhood friends, along with his dad and began playing with them. From then on it surmounted into 25 or so neighborhood friends and buddies for the next twenty years or so, where a lot of memories were made. Although I witnessed quite a few hole in ones, I never got to see one of my dad hole in ones, he had 5! What a remarkable feat that is! Over the years our group continued to get smaller, they either passed away or moved away. It came back to it being just my dad and a couple of buddies and then just my dad and I, like when we started...funny how things turn out like they started. Thanks to you dad I got to play in the State Championship in high school and also, through the years, win 4 club championships. I remember how thrilled and excited you were when you gave Clay his very first set of clubs, so was he and he still has them! Thanks to you I can continue your legacy and play golf with my sons, creating everlasting memories with them, just as you and I did! Waiting until the next time we can play golf together.
Love, Greg
