Eugene Evans
Eugene William Evans, 88, of Akron passed away on Dec. 15, 2015.
Born in Akron the son of the late James and Viola Evans, Mr. Evans was retired from Diamond Crystal Salt where he had 38 years of service. A World War II Army veteran, he was a fifty year member of the American Legion. He also belonged to the Wolf Ledges A. C. At one time a baseball player, Eugene was also an avid bowler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, James R. Evans; sister, Josephine Mangus; and nephew, Rodney Evans. He is survived by nephew, James A. Evans of Smyrna, Georgia.
Graveside services and inurnment will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
