Obituary for Theodore D. "Ted" Georger

Theodore D. "Ted"  Georger
Theodore D. “Ted” Georger Sr., 71, of Hudson, died October 20, 2015, at Akron City Hospital in Akron, Ohio. Ted was born July 11, 1944 and raised in Buffalo, NY. He graduated from St Bonaventure College and lived in Buffalo until 1982. He lived in Fairport, NY for 5 years and moved to Hudson, OH in 1987.

Ted bravely served in the Army during Vietnam from 1965-1967. Ted previously worked as a Human Resources Manager at British Petroleum in downtown Cleveland and most recently was the owner and operator of a successful business based out of Twinsburg, OH named Metallic Resources, P.C.R. Ted had a passion for boating and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors are his wife of 44 years, Linda S. (Webster) Georger; children, Theodore Jr. (Addie) Georger, Amy (Joseph) LaGuardia and Michael (Ashley) Georger; and grandchildren Joseph, Charles, and Cecilia LaGuardia; Jesse and Thomas Georger and several foster grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Barbara (Piteio) Georger; and sister, Judith Looby, as well as his beloved dog Murphy.

Visitation will be Monday, October 26, 2015 at 9 -10:30 A.M. at Dunn-Quigley Stow Chapel, 3333 Kent Rd., Stow, OH 44224 and funeral services will follow at 11 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Rd., Stow, OH 44224. Ted will be buried with military honors at 2 P.M. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Rittman, OH 44270.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Stroke Association at 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231 or the American Cancer Association at 525 N Broad St., Canfield, Ohio 44406.
