Bertie Koerschner
After a courageous battle with cancer, Mom passed away, to be with her Lord and Savior on April 16, 2012.
Bertie was an employee of Akron General Medical Center for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband John, parents Alice and William Blake, sisters Mary and Becky, and her brother Bill; as well as her beloved pets Buttons and Pickles.
Left to mourn her passing are her children, Ken (Jan) Kimberlin, David (Elizabeth) Kimberlin, Joseph (Letha) Koerschner, and Brenda (Dennis) Lucas; seven grandchildren, Tammy, Tonna, Kenny Scott, Kendra, Lindsey, Kara and Joey; 10 great-grandchildren including Alex, Abby, and Austin whom she adored visiting and being with. Also mourning her loss are her sister Margie and brothers Cecil and Pat.
Special Thanks to Sis and Ray Lewis for all their help, love, and support. Mom loved Bingo, going to the casinos with her friends, and her dog Pissy.
Friends may call Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 5-8pm at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 811 Grant St. in Akron where a memorial service will take place at 8pm with her nephew Harvey Yergin, III will officiate.
Cremation has taken place. Private graveside services Thursday.
