David Bruce Miller

David B. Miller, age 53, of Akron, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 31, 2013 at his home.

David was born December 12, 1959 in Akron to the late William and Margaret (Easterday) Miller. He was a graduate of Stow High School.

David served his country proudly for 23 years. David was a recipient of three Bronze Stars. He received the Southwest Asia Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, and Kuwaiti Liberation Medal. David was very proud of his Expert Marksmanship Badge for Rifle and Grenade.

David was a proud, strong, caring, and devoted family man. David loved his family more than words could ever speak. David was proud of both his children, and told them this every day. David instilled the same love for country and family that he so proudly had into his children. He will forever be loved and missed.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandchildren Jeremiah and Kalista Stone, Father-in-law Franklin R. Lancaster, and brother-in-law Franklin R. Lancaster, II.

David leaves behind his beloved wife Brenda L. Miller of 30 years, his daughter Kristen (Ryan) Stone, son Jordan Miller, "adopted" children Anna Sideris and DJ Bensch his brothers and sisters, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends may call Sunday 2-5PM at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 811 Grant St. in Akron, where the funeral service will be celebrated 10AM, Monday, August 5, 2013. Burial in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
