When looking back over the years a great sense of melancholy tugs at our hearts due to the final loss, you, the last of the original Kiley girls ... but when we start thinking of specific times, parties, picnics, gatherings of the Kiley Klan, it brings smiles and laughter at the memories. So many jokes, and sayings and stories survive as they were passed down to the next generation. Hardships were made easier with laughter and a deck of cards... no one was turned down or turned away from 369 Allyn St, and perhaps why you so longingly remembered it and asked to be taken there to see "mom and dad" as your final years passed. Akron and the gatherings will never be the same, but the memories are something we will hang on to and treasure until we, too, join the Kiley Klan, where ever they might be! ( Louies? Johns? the Silver Swan? The Brooklands?..or Maca Park!) May you rest in eternal peace, but still be able to tell and appreciate a joke!!! We will survive.

You will always be a part of me and the rest of this great family of ours, mama. Your legacy will live on for generations to come and, as your siblings have taught us, we will all hold our heads up with pride knowing the roots we have come from. Your passing has left a sadness in our hearts knowing an awesome era of our family has gone by the wayside, though the happiness for the life you lived will prevail in the end. I love you for ever and for always... Hugs and kisses to the rest of our peeps that are with you now.

We are sad to see the last of the "Kiley Girls" go Home. They were an incredible group of girls who Loved Life and Lived it to the Fullest, especially when they were doing the "Hu La La" ! ;) The "Kiley Clan" Family Reunions will never be quite the same because of their absence; but we will feel their Lively Loving Spirit right there with us. Now it is time we children all band together and carry on that same "Kiley Clan" Spirit and Love in their memory and pass it on to the next generation.

I know Aunt Doris is reunited with many of her loved ones. I am happy for her to join them and sad for those left behind. I will always cherish my memories of her with all her sisters during our trips to Ohio from West Virginia. The Kiley Legacy will live on through all of us. Until we meet again, I love you, I love you, I love you.
