Obituary for Leo Soloveiko Jr.

Leo  Soloveiko Jr.
STOW ­ Leo Soloveiko Jr., 81, passed away Tuesday afternoon after a brief
illness.
Leo was born Aug. 10, 1931, in Youngstown to the late Leo and Mary (Pelar)
Soloveiko, Sr.
He was a graduate of Youngstown South High School and Youngstown University
with a bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering. Leo retired from Goodyear
Tire and Rubber after 25 years service. He was a member of the Holy Family
Church, and a active and proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Leo was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War.
Besides his parents, Leo was preceded in death by his sister, Alicia
Figeroa.
Leo is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley (Cellio) Soloveiko;
daughters Jackie (Bob) Dispenza, Ft. Wayne, Ind., Theresa Malion of Akron,
and Diane Lambert of Kent; son Leo Soloveiko III of Silver Lake; eight
grandchildren, Justinian, Laurel, Kimberly, Paul, Christopher, Jared,
Jessica, and Joshua; one great-grandson Tristan; sister Eileen Fryda of
Youngstown; and brother Daniel (Linda) Soloveiko of Cuyahoga Falls.
Friends may call today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home,
3333 Kent Road. (at St. Rt. 91) in Stow.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the
Holy Family Church, 3179 Kent Road in Stow.
Burial will be at Stow Cemetery.
