Linda Ferrante (nee Wimer), 56, went home to be with the Lord on May 20th after a long and courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). All through her life Linda has been an inspiration to those around her, but especially so in the last three years of her illness. A graduate of Cuyahoga Falls HIgh School, Class of ’75, she was an avid sports enthusiast both as a fan and as a participant. For 29 years Linda was employed as an accounting clerk for the Albrecht Grocery Co.
Preceded in death by her father, Don Wimer, she is survived by her husband, Lou R., Jr.; daughter, Victoria; mother, Ruth Wimer; sisters, Susan Wimer, Deidre (Gary) Glenn, Kathy (Keith) Sangrik, Tami Wimer, and Michelle (Bryan) Tonkin; 7 nieces and nephews.
The family would like to acknowledge the staff of Crossroads Hospice, especially, Michelle, Missy, and Kathy as well as Mary, Lisa, and Amy from the ALS Assoc. for all the loving care extended to Linda.
