Lorene Badalucco


Lorene Badalucco, beloved mother and grandmother, age 85, of Lincolnton , North Carolina , formerly of Akron , passed away Saturday evening January 21, 2012 at Catawba Valley Hospice after an extended illness.

Lorene was born January 5, 1927 in Austin , Texas to the late Auther and Fannie (Wright) Hay. She enjoyed reading books and loved her cats.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John, and her son George.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Badalucco of Akron , and Barbara Badalucco of Sebring; her sons, Samuel Badalucco of Alabama , and Andy Badalucco of Colorado . 14 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.

A Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Cemetery , 100 E. Waterloo Rd. in Akron with Pastor Robert Webb officiating.

The Badalucco family wishes to offer a special thank to Catawba Valley Hospice for the loving care they provide.
