Marie Catherine Maul, age 86, of Pickerington formerly of Silver Lake, peacefully passed away Thursday morning at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in her sleep. Marie was born January 9, 1925 in Akron to the late Clarence William and Lillian Mae (Horan) Thome and lived in the Akron area until 2001 when she moved to be closer to her family. She was a member of Holy Family Church in Stow. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Andrew Maul whom she married November 17, 1945, he passed May 22, 2001; a brother Paul Thome, and a grandson Jeffery Anderson. Marie is survived by her 6 children, David (Sharon) Maul of New Albany, Maureen Anderson of Southington, Connecticut, Tom Maul of Odessa, Texas, Colleen (Michael) Hopkins of Waco, Texas, Noreen (Sam) Hamner of Linthicum, Maryland, and Joseph (Rose) Maul of Pickerington, Ohio; 14 grandchildren, Shannon Maul, Michael (Jaymi) Maul, Thomas "TJ" (Sara) Maul, Mary (Gregory) Tunis, George (Donna) Anderson, Jamie Anderson, Kristen Anderson, Jennifer Maul, Ethan Hopkins, Erin Hopkins, Jason Hamner, Rob (Nicole) Rhoden, Joe Maul, and Scott Maul; nine great-grandchildren Caleb Maul, Thomas Maul, Kyle Maul, Margaret Maul, Cassie Rhoden, Connor Rhoden, Curtis Rhoden, Cora Rhoden and Theresa Rhoden. Her sister Martha (Dale) Gessler of Cuyahoga Falls.

Friends may call Thursday, November 3rd from 7-9PM at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home in Stow (Kent Rd. at Rt. 91). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30AM Friday at Holy Family Church in Stow. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
