Although it has been a number of years since I had the chance to speak to Mark, his great personality left him unforgettable. When I arrived at Wayne College in Orrville thirty years ago, Mark was Director of Continuing Education and Workforce Development. I was most fortunate to have an office next to his and for him to be my friend. His good nature, sense of humor, and all-around good guy nature are just a few qualities that described him. I think the one thing that strikes me most right now about Mark is this: At the time Mark was at Wayne College my son was only three or four years old and would sometimes be with me at the college. Although my son was very young at the time, I asked him if he remembered Mark. He recalled him well - sharing fond stories about Mark he remembered from that time. That is who Mark was - a great guy that left warm impressions on everyone, at any age. I am truly fortunate to have known him. Mark – thanks for teaching me to swim.
