Mary "Sammie" Johnson
Mary C. "Sammie" Johnson (nee Kuntzman),87, passed away on Dec. 26, 2011 after a brief illness. Born in Akron to the late Conrad and Sarah "Sadie" Kuntzman, Mrs. Johnson lived most of her life in Northampton. In 2004 she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, William W. Johnson.

Her survivors include daughters, Susan Johnson Kerkian (Alan), Sally Johnson Suozzi (Robert), and Mary Catherine Johnson Hartjen (Kurt); sons, William T. Johnson, and Ned C. Johnson; grandchildren, Sarah and Arami Kerkian, Katie, Robby and Tony Suozzi, Olivia and Rachel Hartjen; sister, Sally Callahan of Worcester, Mass. Her sister, Peg McCorkle, and brother, Thomas Kuntzman (Darlene) also preceded her in death.

There will be no calling hours or service. A private committal service at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery will be scheduled at a later date.
