Ralph "Pat" Chase Patterson,
Pat was born January 20, 1926 in Akron to the late Ralph A. and Gladys (Chase) Patterson.
He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the US Army; a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church and Masonic Lodge #187 F&AM. Pat was a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Terex for over 23 years, retiring in 1988.
Besides his parents, Pat is preceded in death by wife, Marelda (Cook) Patterson, and three sisters, Marjorie, Jane Eileen, and JoAnne .
He is survived by his daughters, REBECCA BURTON and JANET (SKIP) HUTCHISON; his sons, WILLIAM and JAMES (LYN) PATTERSON; a brother, ROBERT (NORMA) PATTERSON; a sister, Eleanor; and seven grandchildren, Shawn (Jessica) Murphy, Ryan (Michelle) Murphy, Justin Murphy, Amanda Boyle, Christopher (Kristen) Patterson, and Nicole Patterson; three great grandchildren and one on the way; several nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to his niece Susan Mick, VNS Hospice-thank you for your kindness, support and guidance, to our wonderful and devoted aides: Suzanne, Sandra, Tanya, and all the rest, we couldn't of done it without you. Thanks to Rev. Dennis Woodruff, who spent special times with Dad, and also to Lee Chafin of Monroe Falls EMS. I HAVE WORKED ALL MY LIFE TO GET READY FOR MY GRADUATION. MY GRADUATION WILL TAKE ME TO THE LORD'S HOUSE WHERE I WILL BEGIN MY ETERNAL LIFE.
Friends may call 6-8PM Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 3333 Kent Rd. (At Rt. 91) in Stow; where the Funeral Service will be at 11AM Friday morning. Burial in Northlawn Memorial Gardens where American Legion Post #449 will render military honors.
