Terese E. Mullin, 85, passed away on the Feast of St. Patrick, Monday, March 17, 2014. She was born on May 27, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA to Joseph and Helen Eckert. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Mullin, Sr., and son, George J. Mullin, and is survived by her 12 remaining children: Joseph, Jr. (Therese), Helen McDowell (Kurt), Jerome (Terry), Mary Collery (Tom), Michael (Mindy), Patrick (Christine), Virginia, Thomas, James (Bea), Rose Marie Hughes (Gary), Margaret Simcox (Brian), and Paul (Mary Jane). After high school, Terese studied voice in college and taught dancing lessons, but as early as the age of five, she knew that all she wanted to be was a mother. She was a loving mother who always put her family first. Our mother taught us our faith and how to appreciate the cultural things in life especially our Irish heritage. We cannot thank you enough, Mother, for all you have done, and we are eternally grateful.
Calling hours will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 20th, at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 3333 Kent Rd, Stow. A Requiem High Mass will be offered for the repose of her soul, Friday, March 21st, at 10:30 am, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, 2935 Chenoweth Rd, Akron. Burial will follow at Stow Cemetery.
