Veronika (Heyden) Fleischer, 77, passed away on June 22. Born in Romania and raised in Germany, Veronika has been an area resident since 1958. In 2008, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Klaus Dieter Fleischer. Both she and her late husband were active in the German Family Society. A former member of Sacred Heart Parish in Akron, Veronika currently belonged to St. Eugene’s Parish.

Her survivors include son Karl; daughter, Corina (Rick) Rottinger; and son, Fred; grandchildren, Joe and Kyle Rottinger, and Haley and Emery Fleischer; siblings, Maria (Joe) Reich, Louisa Heyden, Tony (Mary) Heyden, Olga Hindinger, and Eugene (Lynn) Heyden. She was an aunt to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death are her parents, Karl and Rosa Heyden; sister, Anna Dick; brother, John Heyden; and brother-in-law Ernst Hindinger.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on THURSDAY, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Eugene’s Catholic Church where the family will receive friends from 10a.m. until mass time.
