Bravery

Dad suffered so at the end, but even when he was most weary, in pain and ill, he always smiled and said thank you to anyone who entered his room. He never complained, not even once, and was tough as nails and gracious through every excruciating procedure and treatment.

With his pain and suffering so fresh in our minds, we struggle to remember the brave, clever, funny, vital, supportive and compassionate man Dad was. But that is most important thing to remember.
