First Meeting

I can remember the night Whitey came through the door at St. Eugenes and behind him this man immediately followed.  I recognized him as I had met him some years before.  He had this look of bewilderment and maybe embarrassment on his face.  "I want you men to meet my son Mark" Whitey stated. "He's one of us"   I immediately went to Mark, shook his hand and welcomed him.  He recognized me and I could see his face relax a little.  The rest is history.  Mark had his struggles during the early years but overcame them and became a good example to others. He dedicated a lot of time to service, an important part of being a sober man and maintaining a sober life.  God speed, Mark.  "Till we meet again."                      DickC
