Great Memories of a gentle spirit

What a lovely, inspiring obituary, obviously created by those who were touched, as I was by Carol's spirit.   I first met Carol at Stark State.  I often attended her Soups On presentations and had many wonderful conversations in her office where we shared personal stories of sorrow and success and spiritual journeys.Together we created the Reflection Room at Stark State which provided students, faculty and staff a room once a month in which to be quite, reflect, meditate and escape from the day to day pressures of life.  We provided quiet music, mandalas to color, reflective books to read, hand massage and time to just "be".  The "comment book" that we provided proved how very much people loved the simple yet profound space and the opportunity to be quiet in the midst of their busy days. Though I have been living out of the U.S for some time now, I have often thought of Carol and her quiet yet powerful presence and the influence of our sharing time.  She obviously touched a lot of people in the short time she was here on earth and her kind spirit lives on through many of us.  Barbara Harwell Francois
