Ernie

I met Ernie and his late wife because of the Martin B-26 group.

I had built a WW1 fighter plane and Ernie had me  speak to the "Marauder" group about it. This happend numerous times, and we became friends. We lunched together both in Silver Lake and in Bath.

In spite of his career at Goodyear and mine at Firestone, we got along well.

I grieved with him at the loss of a son, and then of his wife.

I stongly admired his wartime service involving the B-26.

We were still going to lunch together as his health began to fail.

Since I didn't know his children, I could never locate him after he left his home. I would have liked to have visited  him. I miss him.
