Grandpa

When i think of you I immediately become a boy again. By my Grandpa's side while you re-bait my fishing hook or guide me as we stamp badges in your basement together. Always with your tongue sticking out of your mouth!!

I know you were many different things to many different people, all of them great, but to me you will forever be Grandpa.

Patient, assured, loving and so generous. The fact that I was instantly happy by your side after periods of being thousands of miles apart says it all. Always so sad to leave.

I miss you, but lucky me!
