I am both privileged and blessed to have spent time with Evelyn and her family the last 5 years. She was such a joy; always smiling and never complaining. She greeted everyone with a smile and if someone came in during "her shows", she would hush them by saying "sit down and watch the show." We would laugh and giggle at the shows she loved, Golden Girls, Andy Griffith, Everybody loves Raymond and others. When we would go for a drive, she would always comment on why people keep their blinds closed, "are they afraid someone will look in?" She enjoyed going for a drive and always said how good it was to get out.. I remember her face on her 95th birthday when Jim lit the special candle I brought and how she enjoyed seeing the flower open. She loved watching the squirrels and birds on her back deck. When I would throw bread or peanuts out, she always said "they'll love you." I have had so many nice times with Evelyn and her family - birthdays, holidays and weddings. I have nothing but pleasant thoughts and memories of Evelyn and the time I spent with her. Those will never be forgotten and I will cherish all my wonderful memories of her. I miss her but know she's in a better place - "it's a different world." God Bless Evelyn and her family.
